Search for the exit while avoiding strange creatures roaming the halls, either on your own or alongside another player on the same device. Playing with a friend changes the challenge completely. You can cooperate to stay away from danger, race to see who escapes first, or use the monsters against each other when an opportunity appears.

Find Your Way Through the Yellow Maze

The objective is straightforward: locate the door that leads out of the Backrooms. Getting there is more difficult. Similar-looking walls and corridors make it easy to lose your sense of direction, while creatures moving through the maze force you to keep changing your route. Explore carefully instead of running blindly through every passage. Remember recognizable intersections and avoid getting trapped in dead ends when a monster is nearby.

Two Players, One Escape Route

Local multiplayer lets two people play together on the same device. Both players enter the same maze and search for the exit while dealing with the creatures inside. You can treat the game as co-op and help each other navigate, but reaching the exit first can also turn it into a competition. There is even room for less friendly tactics. If a creature begins following you, changing direction at the right moment may lead it toward your opponent instead. This creates an extra layer of risk because trying to sabotage another player can easily leave you trapped with the monster yourself.

How to Escape More Consistently

Do not wander without paying attention to where you have already been. Use corners and intersections as reference points so repeated corridors become easier to recognize. When a monster appears, focus on creating distance before searching for the exit again. In two-player mode, also watch where the other player is moving. Their route can reveal an unexplored path-or tell you that danger is heading your way. The safest strategy is often simple: learn the maze while moving, avoid unnecessary encounters, and take a clear route toward the exit whenever you find one.
