Obby: Backrooms Hunt

Obby: Backrooms Hunt reverses the usual Backrooms setup by sending you into the maze as an armed hunter. Each mission names a monster to eliminate somewhere across three dark floors. The target may stay hidden until you are close, so success depends on searching with the scanner as well as aiming well when the fight begins.

The Backrooms Have Become a Hunting Ground

You begin at the base, where different doors lead to available missions. Choose a contract, enter the maze, and start tracking the assigned creature. Repeating corridors make direction difficult, while walls and secluded spaces can conceal the monster from normal view.

The hunt ends only after the target has been found and defeated. Survive the encounter, then return to base to collect your progress and prepare for another mission.

The Scanner Finds What Your Eyes Cannot

Right mouse activates the scanner, an important tool when a monster refuses to step into the open. It can reveal targets through walls, helping you judge their location before walking blindly around another corner.

Scanning does not replace careful movement. You still need to work out how to reach the marked position and be ready to fire when the creature enters view. Use the scanner whenever the trail goes cold instead of wasting time searching every passage at random.

How to Complete a Mission

Pick a mission at one of the doors and enter the selected Backrooms area. Search each floor, scan nearby rooms, and follow the target’s position until you have a clear shot. Aim with the mouse and fire until the monster is eliminated.

Recover Health Before the Next Encounter

The creatures can injure you during a hunt. Look for first-aid kits as you explore and collect them when your health drops. Passing a medical pickup early may leave you without enough health to finish a difficult fight.

Return to Base After the Kill

Once the mission is complete, head back to the base rather than wandering through the empty maze. Visit the weapon stands, purchase a stronger gun when possible, equip the gear you want, and choose the next door.

Better Weapons Lead to Tougher Contracts

Successful hunts award coins and experience, which support the weapon upgrade system. Obby: Backrooms Hunt gradually raises the difficulty of its enemies as missions are completed, but the rewards also become more valuable. This loop gives the game more direction than a typical Backrooms escape. Instead of searching for one exit while avoiding every creature, you repeatedly enter the maze, locate a specific threat, and build an arsenal for harder targets.
